Petty School Reading, Lesson 07. The Consonant L, M

Lesson

In this lesson, we will review the points we learned in lesson 01 and add two new points regarding the Latin vowels.

1. REVIEW: What is an Idea?An Idea is an image in our mind of anything we have seen, smelled, tasted, touched, or heard.

2. REVIEW: What are words?Words are symbols used to share ideas.

3. REVIEW: What are Spoken Words?Spoken words are symbols of ideas.

4. REVIEW: What are Written Words?Written words are symbols of spoken words.

5. REVIEW: What are Words made of?Words are made of Syllables.

6. REVIEW: What are Syllables made of?Syllables are made of Letters.

7. What are Vowels?Vowels are sounds made with the voice.

8. How many vowels are there in Latin?In Latin, there are five vowels: A, E, I, O, U.

9. What are Consonants?Consonants are sounds that must be spoken with a vowel.
